What the Micro-School Is

Most micro-schools organize around a philosophy. The Cultivated Brilliance Micro-School organizes around a framework, the Six Domains of Human Coherence, and a curriculum built on top of it. Every student moves through five disciplinary tracks, four developmental levels, and an eight-year scope with an Individual Coherence Plan guiding their progression. Academic instruction, tutoring support, and character formation are not separate activities. They are expressions of one integrated approach.

The family is the primary unit of formation in this model. Parent formation runs alongside student formation. What happens at school and what happens at home are designed to reinforce each other rather than operate independently.

The Micro-School is also a licensable model. Practitioners, educators, community builders, school founders, who want to bring Cultivated Brilliance to their own communities can license the curriculum and operational framework from CMI and establish their own CB Micro-School location. The model is ready. Licensing is open now.

The Education

What students actually experience.

Formation is not a separate activity at the CB Micro-School. It runs through every part of a student's day: how academic subjects are taught, how the school community functions, and how each student's Individual Coherence Plan shapes their specific path.

Academic Instruction

Core academic subjects taught through the lens of the CB framework. Reading, writing, mathematics, and science are not separated from the formation curriculum. They are the medium through which track engagement happens.

Track Engagement

Every student engages with the five Cultivated Brilliance tracks across their time in the Micro-School. The depth and sequence of that engagement is determined by their developmental level and their Individual Coherence Plan.

Individual Coherence Plan

Each student has an ICP that is reviewed and updated regularly. It is not a report card. It is a living document that tracks formation progress across all six domains and guides every decision about what this student needs next.

Living Library Access

Students engage with the Living Library as a curriculum resource, drawing on practitioner perspectives from across every field to ground their track work in real-world context and honest professional experience.

Family Formation

Parent formation programming runs alongside student programming. The family is treated as the primary unit of formation. What happens at home shapes what is possible at school, and CMI treats that connection as structural, not optional.

Tutoring Support

Academic tutoring is available as part of the Micro-School and as a standalone service. Families who need targeted academic support alongside the formation curriculum can access it through CMI directly.

Practitioner Licensing

CMI developed Cultivated Brilliance as a replicable model from the beginning. The curriculum, the framework, the ICP instrument, and the operational architecture are designed to be licensed to practitioners who have the community context and the institutional capacity to run a CB Micro-School. How enrollment works.

Enrollment in the CB Micro-School begins with a conversation. There is no online application form. We want to understand your family, your student, and what you are looking for before any decisions are made.

Family Conversation

We have a direct conversation with the family, parents and student together. We explain the curriculum, the ICP process, and what daily life in the Micro-School looks like. You ask what you need to ask.

Assessment

The student completes an initial coherence and academic assessment. This is not a test for admission. It is the starting point for the Individual Coherence Plan that will guide their formation.

Enrollment

Once both sides are ready, enrollment is confirmed and the ICP is developed. The family is onboarded into the parent formation program. The student's formation begins.
